Finn raccoons are not raccoons but rather a kind of canid (the family of animals which includes dogs and wolves). Also sometimes referred to as raccoon dogs, finn raccoons are famous for their distinctly raccoon like facial markings. Contrarily to other canids, they can and often do climb trees!
