Earrings - Deer antler slices

These are earrings made with slices from deer antlers. We go out of our way to make a pair but there might be slight differences between both bones. The ear hooks are made of surgical steel and so are hypoallergenic! 

Antlers and horns are made of extremely durable bone and are covered in skin or a keratin sheath which comes off as the body decomposes. They are very resistant and can withstand a lot of wear and tear. Horns and antlers have been used for tool making for ages and that is a true testimony of just how sturdy this material is!
