Stoat Pelts
- Around Mid-March, stoats shed their winter pelts just in time for mating season
- During the summer, it is brown with a white belly
- During autumn, the roots turn white with the surface still more or less brown
- During the winter months, the pelt turns entirely white except for the tip of the tail who remains black
Fur from wild animals, hunted by Quebecer hunters, is environmentally friendly. Much more eco-friendly than synthetic fur who is partly made from plastic, a well-known petroleum derivative.
Our management system in Quebec/Canada regarding fur animals is the strictest in the world. I am proud to give a second life to all parts of our animals (skull, pelt, bones, claws and so on)
Some stoat pelts may have a slightly yellowish coloration. That is normal and does not constitute a default.
